James Pattersonwrites two book series that I enjoy... The Women's Murder Club and the Alex Cross series. Double Crossis the latest Alex Cross book.
Alex Cross lives in Washington, DC with his Nana Mama (grandmother) and his three kids Damon, Jannie, and Alex Jr. Nana Mama pretty much raises the kids because of Alex Cross's career. In the beggining of the series, Alex worked for the Metro Police Department. Eventually the FBI recruited him because of his work with the police and the fact that he had a doctorate in Psychology. I believe in the last book, he quit the FBI to focus on his therapy practice and have more time with his kids.
Cross's speciality is serial killers, and in Double Crosshe comes face to face with two of them. The first is a former actor, and the second is Kyle Craig. Kyle Craig was a former co-worker (FBI) and friend of Cross. Kyle has escaped from a supermaximum security prison and is out to get Cross.
Also in this book is the blossom of romance with Brianna Stone (Bree) who is a Detective. Because of the two killers on the loose, Alex makes the decision to once again join the police force but only on high profile cases. I think we'll be seeing Kyle Craig in the future on one of those cases.
I always enjoy James Patterson'sworks. He writes short chapters that move the story along quickly. Check him out if you haven't yet!
