Jessica: Darkest Evening of the Year by Dean Koontz

When I started reading this book, I couldn't figure out where it was going. There are two seperate story lines going, and of course you have to read the book to find out how a normal, dog rescuing woman's (Amy) life intersects with a crazy woman who is planning on killing her downs daughter.

There are some forces out there that bring golden retreiver Nicki into Amy's life and how she ultimately saves it. Of course!

I like dogs, and I like Dean Koontz, but I wasn't blown away by this book. Overall the book was good enough but I was a bit tired of the dog with extraordinary powers.
