So, I was reading this novel and realized it was the final book in a trilogy about 3 sisters. Fortunately, other than the sister being mentioned and having a brief cameo at the end, the book stands very well on its own. I also realized that I have those first 2 books (Lessons in Seduction, Rules of Passion) in my personal library, so I wouldn't have to hunt them out.
Sebastian is hired to help a famous courtesan find the person responsible for kidnapping her daughters over 20 years ago. She has very few clues on where to look, but suggests that he start his investigation by going to the small town where the girls were taken and the youngest still lives. Francesca rescues Sebastian out in the moors near her house and is drawn to the mysterious stranger. But when he awakens desires she'd rather keep buried, she's afraid she's more than her birth mother than she'd like.
I liked this story by Sara Bennett. The characters were likable and the story was solid. Even the suspense part was satisfying and came to a gratifying conclusion. The heat between Sebastian and Francesca burned the pages and the romance was believable. I highly recommend this story and plan on reading the rest of the series soon.
