We've had a lot of books go unclaimed in the last few months. Which means more work for me, annoying messages from me hounding y'all to respond, authors wondering why winners aren't claiming their winnings, etc. So, I'm going to lay down the contest rules once more (and add a link to this post in the sidebar).
Book Talk Contest Rules
---It is YOUR responsibility to check back at the blog to see if you're a winner. I leave a comment on the contest post as well as creating a new post to announce the weekly winners. If you don't want to keep stopping by the blog, here are some things you can do to be sure you're notified when winners are chosen.
- Subscribe to the post when you leave your comment. All comments made after yours will be sent to your email. This will include a post I make about the chosen winner.
- Leave your email address in your post. If you're afraid of spammers getting your addy, modify it with spaces or AT or DOT. I know most the tricks and can generally decipher them.
- Send an e-mail to admin.bookblog@gmail.com and have your email address added to our database. We only need your Blogger display name and email address... and we will only use your addy to contact you if you're a winner. If you've contacted us in the past (or were a past winner who claimed your prize), you're already in our database/address book. And please be sure to add us to your address book so our emails do not go into your spam folders.
---If you do not claim your prize by the date and time I set on a post, I will chose another winner.
---A person can only win one prize every two months, to allow everyone a fair chance at winning a prize. I do have a list of all people who have won prizes on the blog. As we get more visitors, we may extend the length of time between wins. Exceptions to this rule:
1. An author holds a "first to answer this question" or "the first person to comment" contest.
2. All entries in a contest are by previous contest winners.
According to the November poll, our readers want more contests. We already average 2 contests a week, but with the difficulty in contacting winners, I'm hesitant to create more contests. So, help me out by looking out for those "winner" posts and contacting us as soon as possible and perhaps you'll get more contests in the new year.
I have never read any of your books but after reading this part i am very interested and hopefully I will win but if not I will most definitely look for your books..awesome..thanks for letting me read part of it..Patty..wolfie53at sbcglobal.net
