Too Great a Temptation is the first book in a series. It's followup, Too Scandalous to Wed, was reviewed by me in December. In this book you meet Damian, the Duke of Rogues, who is on a hunt for the pirates who killed his younger brother. During his quest he meets Mirabelle. Neither wants the temptation of what the other offers, but they also can't resist.
I loved the storyline. Pirates, revenge, love... how could you go wrong with that? But somehow the book missed the mark for me. I think it was the romance. Damian treated Mirabelle horribly, but yet she fell in love with him. It didn't make any sense to me and therefore I found it hard to enjoy that aspect of the book... and the romance is why I read the genre. So, if you're wanting a book with a good love story, you might want to pass over this one. I would suggest reading this book before Too Scandalous to Wed as it sets up the next story.
