My name is Jessica and I love to read! Which is a good thing when trying to start a blog about books. Anyway... I've been reading ever since I can remember. My mom says when I started reading I would read off signs from the back seat of the car. (I'm sure that got annoying quickly.)
When I first really started reading books, my first loves were: Encyclopedia Brown, The Babysitter's Club, Nancy Drew. I remember the first time I stayed up all night reading a book. I think I in 5th or 6th grade, and I was up reading an Agatha Christie book. I have since done that on many occasions although now I try not to let that happen. Or probably more realistically I can't stay up that late reading anymore. Instead I end up falling asleep with the lights on and find my book on the floor in the morning.
As you can see I've loved mystery and series books the best, and that has continued until now. I love mysteries, thrillers, and crime dramas (my own classification). I have read and will read just about anything. My favorite authors include Stephen King, James Patterson, Patricia Cornwell, Dan Brown, Dean Koontz, Michael Connelly, Anne Rice and Michael Crichton just to name a few.
I just love to read. I equate it to watching a movie in my head.
I hope you find my reviews interesting and maybe I will persuade you to read a book you might not have. Happy Reading!

This is a great site, Jessica. I wonder if your mum has any amusing anecdotes about your early reading? My own daughter used to proudly read aloud every sign we passed. When we passed a Tyre and Exhaust centre, she piped up - 'Look, there's a tyre and execution centre'. Then there was the man who was bitten by mad dogs and infected with rabbis . . .
