The Hollow is the second book in Nora Roberts' Sign of Seven trilogy. It picks up shortly after Blood Brothers ends. The demon threat is starting to escalate his attacks and the group realize that they also need to step up their preparations and research for the final battle.
In this story, Layla and Fox are paired up. Each of them are able to see into others' minds and Fox, who has had years to come to grips with the ability, is training Layla on how to handle the skill. As they spend time together, emotions flare and a passion they didn't expect threatens to consume them.
Once again I listened to the audio version of this book. I was drawn in immediately and was sad when the story ended. I admit that I'm anxious for the final book of the trilogy to see how it all ends. These are stories that really do need to be read in order since they are so tightly interwoven.
